Lu Heng addressed the increasingly fragmented regulatory landscape across Asia, where diverging national data laws pose significant barriers to efficient cross-border data flows. He warned that strict data localisation mandates risk creating technical silos and increasing operational costs for global service providers.

"Data sovereignty should not become a barrier to innovation," said Lu. "We must seek regional alignment to protect privacy while enabling international collaboration." His comments echoed the broader panel consensus that building regulatory bridges is essential for the future of interconnection in the region.
